Get to Know Sean Flynn

Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., and raised in North Vancouver, B.C., Sean Flynn’s journey led him to the Royal Canadian Navy in 2008, where he served as a Naval Warfare Officer. Since 2010, he has proudly called Langford his home.

Transitioning from military service in 2021, Flynn now lends his expertise as a defence contractor with Lockheed Martin Canada, contributing to training scenarios crucial to real-life geopolitical situations. Additionally, his financial acumen extends to cryptocurrency-related projects, and in 2022, he founded a venture capital company specializing in mergers and acquisitions.

Flynn’s interest in politics ignited during his formative years, inspired by witnessing his father, Charles Flynn, lead a successful national campaign in Ontario in 1995, aptly named “Fed Up.” This experience taught Flynn the power of determination and focused goals, instilling a deep appreciation for public service inherited from five generations of military tradition.

Married to his wife, Jessica, for thirteen years, Flynn acknowledges her unwavering support through numerous military deployments, including a nine-month stint in the Gulf of Aden and Oman. Together, they have their three sons, aged two to twelve, and understand first-hand the challenges faced by parents in B.C.

Having observed the development and challenges of the Western Communities over the past decade, Flynn is committed to addressing issues exacerbated by NDP governance. He seeks to represent the people of Langford-Highlands, rectifying these concerns, and advocating for the most vulnerable members of the community who lack a voice.

"My interest in politics developed early on, influenced by my father's courageous advocacy for fiscal responsibility. I come from five generations of military service, instilling in me a deep sense of duty and commitment to serving others. My wife Jessica and I have experienced first-hand the sacrifices and struggles facing families. I am determined to be a voice for all families in our community, advocating for policies that reduce costs for those struggling to survive in the most unaffordable province in the country.”
