Get to Know Greg McCune

Greg McCune was one-year-old when his family moved to Enderby from Alberta where they acquired Sutherland’s Bakery. Greg went on to manage the bustling family business where he discovered a knack for entrepreneurship.

Greg successfully oversaw various ventures across the region. However, his true calling awaited him back in Enderby, where he returned to steward the original bakery.

Over the span of 48 years, Greg immersed himself in the fabric of small-town life, raising a family—a son and two daughters—and cherishing the simplicity and warmth of community interactions. It was these daily connections, be it at the bakery, schools, or local sports events, that fueled his passion for public service.

Driven by a desire to make a difference, Greg embarked on a distinguished career in municipal governance, serving four terms as a councillor before assuming the mantle of Mayor for two successive terms. As Mayor of the City of Enderby, he spearheaded transformative initiatives aimed at fostering growth and enhancing affordability, leaving an indelible mark on the community he holds dear.

For Greg, the true essence of his tenure lies not in accolades, but in the lives touched and dreams realized. Whether collaborating with volunteers, businesses, or fellow citizens, his greatest joy remains in empowering others to reach their aspirations, embodying the spirit of service that defines his legacy.

“Salmon Arm-Shuswap deserves a leader who not only listens and acts, but who authentically embodies the values of our community — not the empty promises of the NDP. Let’s unite to shape a future where every voice matters, every concern is met with decisive action, and every opportunity is embraced with unwavering determination.”
—Greg McCune, BC United Candidate for Salmon Arm-Shuswap

“Greg McCune embodies the spirit of BC United—a proven leader who listens to the needs of Salmon Arm-Shuswap constituents and works tirelessly to focus on getting results. Together, as a united team, we will build a brighter future for all British Columbians.”
—Kevin Falcon, Leader of BC United
