His remarkable achievements include securing the 2009 Canadian Housing and Renewal Association’s Graham Emslie Award for demonstrating exemplary private sector leadership in fostering community through affordable housing initiatives.

A seasoned professional, Chris possesses a profound understanding of the housing crisis gripping our province. His pragmatic approach enables him to present timely and practical solutions. As a founding member of the Real Estate Association of Whistler and the Coast Community Builders Association on the Sunshine Coast, Chris has played pivotal roles in shaping the real estate landscape. Additionally, his editorial contributions to “Building the Coast Magazine”; underscore his commitment to sharing insights within the industry.

Still actively engaged in real estate, Chris brings a specialized knowledge of land development, commercial real estate, and extensive experience in housing development on the Coast. His dedication to public service is evident in his tenure as a Councillor for the District of Sechelt, where he assumed the Chair of the Airport Advisory Committee and played a key role in developing a comprehensive business plan for the Sechelt Airport’s expansion and development.

Beyond his contributions to the real estate sector, Chris has proven himself as a dynamic entrepreneur. Together with his family, he transformed a modest apple orchard into a thriving cidery business known as Brickers Cider. The success of the cidery has not only made their products available province-wide, but has also turned the orchard into a sought-after tourist destination in the Sunshine Coast community.

Chris’s commitment extends beyond business ventures to community service. He has expressed his dedication by serving the community and the province as a whole. Chris’s multifaceted experiences and unwavering commitment make him an invaluable asset to both the business and public service realms.
