Quickly after beginning his work in the Canadian financial sector in 2008, a global recession hit, forcing Amrit to channel his diverse skill set into founding his own company, named the Dhot Group. The company has flourished since 2008, expanding beyond the financial marketing into a wide variety of sectors, including real estate, consulting services, security, warehousing, wholesale and distribution, and sales.

Amrit is also an active member of his community, where he volunteers with the Delta District Parents Advisory Council and Scouts Canada. He also dedicated to helping new Canadian immigrants land on their feet through his volunteer work with DOOR TO GROUP.

The arts an important part of Amrit’s passion, particularly Bollywood and Pollywood, and through his work with the Dhot Group, he has brought talents from both those sectors to the community for entertaining shows and cultural enrichment.

Amrit is committed to giving back to a community, province and country that has been so generous to him and given him the opportunity to thrive in Delta.

“I am dedicated to leveraging my experience in the business and financial sectors to drive positive change and get real results for the people of Delta North. I’ve heard loud and clear from residents that they are concerned about the NDP’s failure to address the rising cost-of-living crisis and the mounting public safety crisis in our community. I am committed to addressing these issues by delivering real solutions for our community.”
