BC United Introduces Pavan Bahia as Candidate for Richmond–Queensborough

February 23, 2024

RICHMOND, B.C. – BC United proudly announces Pavan Bahia as its candidate for the Richmond–Queensborough riding in the upcoming provincial election. Bahia is a lifelong Richmond resident and dedicated public servant, and currently lives in Richmond–Queensborough with his wife, Satinder. With an impressive career in public service serving as the Chief of Staff for a Member of Parliament and continued volunteerism in Richmond’s soccer community as a coach, trainer and mentor — Bahia brings important government and community experience to BC United.

Bahia’s proactive approach towards identifying public policy issues and fostering relationships between government and communities has allowed his accomplishments to span over several important initiatives, including at-risk youth, public safety, mental health and addictions, immigration and sport.

“Pavan Bahia’s dedication to his community through his work in the public service and active volunteering mean he has the first-hand experience to fight for the priorities of the people of Richmond–Queensborough in Victoria,” said BC United Leader Kevin Falcon. “Under the NDP, life is getting more expensive each and every day, and we need to elect leaders like Pavan Bahia so we can work united towards real progress for British Columbians.”

“I am humbled to have the opportunity to earn the right to represent our community and advocate for our residents every day,” said BC United Richmond–Queensborough candidate Pavan Bahia. “After seven years of failed NDP ideology, it’s time for real action to address our cost-of-living crisis, improve health care and build a stronger economy.”

As BC United continues to prepare for the upcoming election, the party continues to attract high calibre candidates that are United by the commitment to build a better future for the next generation.
