BC United introduces Brandon Fonseca as Candidate for Coquitlam-Maillardville

May 2, 2024

COQUITLAM, B.C. – BC United is proud to announce Brandon Fonseca as its candidate for Coquitlam-Maillardville in the upcoming provincial election. A current Masters of Science student at Simon Fraser University and dedicated advocate for progress, Fonseca brings a fresh perspective to the political landscape of British Columbia.

Brandon has actively been engaged in politics from a young age. He has contributed to multiple federal
Conservative election campaigns and was a BC Conservative candidate in the 2020 provincial election.
Following the 2020 election, Brandon was a member of the BC Conservative Party from 2021 to 2022.
However, in 2023, he left the BC Conservatives after meeting with BC United Leader Kevin Falcon.

Fonseca’s dedication to serving his community and building a brighter future for Coquitlam-Maillardville
is evident in his decision to join BC United. He believes that working with a serious party, putting
forward serious solutions instead of slogans is the best way to address the crisis in health care, cost-of-
living, and crime.

“I am honoured to have the opportunity to represent BC United in Coquitlam-Maillardville and be the
strong advocate our community needs to address the failing policies of the NDP,” said Foncesca. “I know
there is only one credible option to defeat the NDP and fix British Columbia, and that option is a BC
United government led by Kevin Falcon.”

“BC United continues to attract strong candidates who believe in the values of free enterprise, small
government and caring for our communities – while prioritizing real policy solutions over slogans,” said
BC United Leader Kevin Falcon. “With our proven track record and dedication to putting people first, BC
United is the only opposition party capable of defeating the NDP and delivering the leadership that
British Columbians deserve.”

As BC United continues to prepare for the upcoming election, the party continues to attract high calibre
candidates that are united by the commitment to build a better future for the next generation.
