BC United Announces Trevor Halford Seeking Re-Election as MLA for Surrey–White Rock

February 29, 2024

SURREY, B.C. – BC United proudly announces Trevor Halford will seek re-election as the MLA for Surrey–White Rock in the upcoming provincial election. Halford has called the community home for over 40 years, where he lives with his wife Holly and continue to raise their children. He was first elected as the MLA for Surrey–White Rock in 2020 and currently serves as the Shadow Minister for Transportation and Infrastructure, ICBC and Affordability, BC Transit and Sport.

Halford’s roots run deep in both White Rock and Surrey. Born and raised in South Surrey, he is a graduate of Elgin Park Secondary and Trinity Western University.

“Trevor Halford continues to be a fierce advocate for Surrey–White Rock in Victoria, where he stands up for everyday British Columbians against harmful NDP policies,” said BC United Leader Kevin Falcon. “While British Columbia faces crises in health care, crime and public safety, housing and cost-of-living — Trevor is exactly the strong voice we need to form government and fix the mess created by seven years of failed NDP policies.”

“Over the last three years I have had the privilege to serve as the MLA for Surrey–White Rock, I have seen tremendous challenges and growth for our residents, and I have been proud to advocate for you every day,” said BC United Surrey–White Rock MLA and 2024 election candidate Trevor Halford. “Whether it’s affordability, crime, homelessness or health care, our residents are suffering under David Eby and the BC NDP — but I know that United we can fix this.”

As BC United continues to prepare for the upcoming election, the party continues to attract high calibre candidates that are United by the commitment to build a better future for the next generation.
