Monday, January 15, 2024

VANCOUVER, B.C. – BC United Leader Kevin Falcon is delighted to announce that Elenore Sturko, the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Surrey South, will be seeking re-election with BC United in the upcoming provincial election, slated for October 2024.

As a former police officer, Sturko brings a frontline perspective on public safety and the opioid crisis. Sturko looks forward to continuing her service to her community and the province, noting, “I’m excited to run for re-election under the BC United banner. Our party’s forward vision on policies, like our Better is Possible plan for mental health and addictions, and our United for a Safer B.C. plan to reduce crime, assures me that BC United will deliver the results our province needs.”

BC United Leader Kevin Falcon stated, “Since being elected in the fall of 2022, Elenore has clearly demonstrated her dedication to representing the people of South Surrey. Her passion for public service really shines through, especially in the work she has done as the Shadow Minister for Mental Health, Addiction, and Recovery. With a great candidate like Elenore, I know we can fix the pressing challenges facing British Columbians.”

In the coming weeks, British Columbians can expect a growing team of strong, accomplished, and diverse candidates to be announced as BC United continues to build a credible alternative to the NDP, focusing on a positive vision for the future of the province and delivering results.
